Social Justice Day Celebration 2021

143rd birthday of E.V.Ramasamy, popularly known as 'PERIYAR' was observed as 'Social Justice Day' on 17.9.2021. Our school management and staff paid homage with floral tribute.

Teacher's Day Celebration

We as a society have the responsibility of acknowledging and appreciating the service of teachers. Teacher’s day, which is celebrated once a year on 5th of September, is the great chance to us to spend a day for them and say thanks. Since 1962 the day commemorates the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan, a great teacher and a staunch believer of education, known for his contribution towards the education system of India. According to Dr Radhakhrishnan, “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. The birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan came to be celebrated as Teachers Day.

Children’s Day Celebration

Our School celebrated Children’s day on Wednesday 14 November 2018, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. As Children’s day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was extremely fond of children, the programme clearly depicted the spirit of the occasion.

The children’s day programme had a series of interesting and exciting events, all planned for a complete entertainment. The programme began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by an informative and inspirational speech by the Principal. A variety of cultural events ranging from songs, dance and games were also conducted. With such cultural events and fun filled activities, it has proved to be a memorable day for the students.

Pongal Celebration 2021

This year Pongal celebration was held in a different and interesting manner. Students were asked to come in their traditional dress, with No books. The earthen pots were decorated. Nine traditional kilns were set up to cook the Sweet Pongal. Dry fire wood sticks were used for cooking in a traditional manner. The enthusiastic voices calling of “Pongalo Pongal”, by the teachers echoed everywhere. Charts on Pongal celebration were displayed. School premise was decorated with flowers, sugarcanes and beautiful artistic rangolis by the teachers. After the pooja to Sun God the Pongal was distributed to everyone.After celebration holding the sugarcane in hand and with the sweetness in their tongue and mind, the children entertained everyone with a variety of programmes. Games like songs, skits; dance was organized by the Tamil department.

Literary Weeek Celebration

Literary Week is a week-long festival to enhance the literary outlook of students. They are exposed to various activities ranging from, ‘ Meet the Author’, Author Study, Quizzing, Tongue Twisters, Puppet Shows, Story Telling Sessions, JAM Sessions, Elocution, etc. during the week.

Book Review and Report are events that help to enhance communication, presentation reading and comprehension skills, amongst the children. It helps them develop their speaking skills and ability to express themselves verbally in front of a group, which builds confidence.
