Our school celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti with great enthusiasm in the school assembly. The event began with the prayer followed by the Tamil speech delivered by the student of Grade 4, highlighting the significance of the day. This was followed by a speech by Rani ma'am, who emphasized the importance of Ambedkar Jayanti.

The student of Grade 9 played the role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, delivering a speech about his life and contributions. He was accompanied by Grade 1 and UKG students, who were also dressed as Dr. Ambedkar.

The program continued with an English speech by the student of Grade 10. Subsequently, students from various grades performed a skit on the importance of fundamental rights mentioned the articles.

As Ambedkar Jayanti coincided with Tamil New Year, the celebration concluded with a speech about Tamil New Year by the Grade 9 student. The event ended on a festive note with pre-KG and UKG students dressed in traditional attire, wishing everyone a Happy Tamil New Year.

The programme ended with the floral tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by all the staff members

Earth Day Celebration

The Earth Day celebration commenced with:

1. Prayer : A serene prayer to set the tone for the event.

2. Thought for the Day : An inspiring message highlighting the importance of environmental conservation.

3. News Headlines : Brief updates on current events.

The Earth Day celebration began with Ms Sujatha introducing the history and significance of the day, highlighting its importance for students.

Special Segments

4.English Speech : Nagula from Grade 8 delivered an impactful speech on Earth Day, emphasizing the need for collective action to protect our planet.

5.Earth Song : The primary kids presented an energetic and thought-provoking song that underscored humanity's role in saving the Earth.

6. Monoact : Students from the higher grades performed a compelling monoact depicting the segregation of waste into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and hazardous categories.

7. Hands-on Activity : To reinforce the importance of waste segregation, a hands-on activity was organized. Chits with different types of waste written on them were distributed to all students, teachers, and staff members. Three bins labeled biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and hazardous were placed, and participants were asked to identify the type of waste on their chit and dispose of it accordingly. The activity saw active participation from the principal, vice-principal, staff, caretakers, and parents.

8.Pledge : The event concluded with a Earth Day pledge by Ruvitha of grade VIII followed by the note from the principal emphasizing the importance of not littering in the classroom and proper waste segregation. The celebration served as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards protecting the environment.

Competitions:

  1. Primary classes - prepare greeting card, model, chart work on Clean ang green earth.
  2. Grade VI -IX (boys) - Slogan writing on topic 'Preserve and protection of earth'.
  3. Grade VI -IX (girls) - Rangoli competition on topic 'Our power Our planet'.

World Environmental Day

On [5.6.25], [Reserve Bank staff quarters school] celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote sustainable practices among students.

Activities

  1. *Plantation Drive:* Students and staffs planted trees in the school premises, emphasizing the importance of greenery and biodiversity.
  2. *A skit on importance of trees* Students of grade 8 performed a skit to highlight the importance of trees among everyone.
  3. *Environmental Pledge:* Students took an oath to protect the environment and adopt eco-friendly habits.
  4. Rally : An awareness rally was conducted. Students from grade 5 to 10 and all staffs actively participated in the rally.
  5. *Speech:* Students if grade 8 delivers a speech in English on the environmental day theme.

Conclusion

The World Environment Day celebration ended with a thought provoking speech by our Principal sir. The event was a resounding success, fostering environmental awareness and inspiring students to become eco-conscious citizens.

International Yoga Day

Our school celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event commenced after the regular assembly and was compered by Smt Subathra.

Program Highlights:

  1. Speech : Grade 9 students delivered insightful speeches on the theme of yoga, highlighting its benefits and significance.
  2. Guess the Yoga Pose: Smt. Revathi and Smt. Sakthiyakala coordinated the students and presented an engaging session on "Guess the Yoga Pose with Benefits," which was enjoyed by all.*Students expressed their gratitude towards RBSQS by showcasing the school alphabets through yoga poses*
  3. Motivational Prizes Distribution: The prize committee, comprising Smt. Indhu and Smt. Jayanthi, distributed motivational prizes to the students who have performed well in the previous program, to encourage them.
  4. Yoga Pose Performance: Students from grades 6, 7, and 8 showcased impressive Yoga poses a long with their benefits
  5. 50 Formation: Grade 6, 7, and 8 and 9 students formed the number "50" to commemorate the school's golden jubilee celebrations, demonstrating their creativity and teamwork.
  6. Vote of Thanks: Smt. Sujatha proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers.

Additional Activities:

  1. Grade 1-5 students performed spiral meditation during regular school hours, showcasing their focus and discipline.
  2. KG students demonstrated meditation skills in the RBSQS formation, highlighting their ability to learn and adapt.
